

WHO WE ARE
Akin Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a non-profit, volunteer-run group dedicated to enriching the educational experience for all students at Akin Elementary. Made up of parents, guardians, teachers, and staff, we work together to build a strong school community by supporting educational programs, organizing school events, and fostering open communication between families and the school.
MISSION
Our mission is to lift and support every student's educational journey by funding and organizing programs that enhance learning, encourage school spirit, and connect our community. Through fundraising efforts, school events, and strong family-school partnerships, we aim to help every Aviator soar.
VISION
We envision a connected, inclusive school community where every family is engaged, every teacher feels supported, and every Aviator has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

WHERE DOES OUR FUNDING COME FROM?
Our newly created PTO is funded via parent Donations, Sponsorships, School Supply purchases, and Community Events. Our biggest Fundraisers of the year are:
Boosterthon - September
Reindeer Run - December
Carnival - April
HOW DO WE SPEND IT?
The funds collected are used to support our school by enhancing the students' curriculum through extracurricular programs and fun community activities. We also take good care of our teachers; a happy teacher has happy students!
